Guangzhou: 17th October 2024, Mr. Sardar Muhammad, the Acting Consul General, attended and addressed the 2nd Hainan International Tropical Food Supply Chain Expo 2024” HIFCE that took place in the capital city of Hainan province.

 

HIFCE is an important platform for serving as world’s first window of global food trade and for intensive tropical food supply chain. HIFCE is becoming a first-class platform for domestic and international dual-circulation, international public products and international exchanges and cooperation with a more confident and open attitude. The exhibition was spread over an area of 60,000 sqm with 5 large exhibition halls.

 

Mr. Sardar Muhammad, in his speech while underlying the importance of China Pakistan all weather strategic parentship, emphasized the greater potential for enhancement of bilateral food trade and agricultural cooperation. While highlighting Pakistan’s importance as one of leading multiple crops producing countries with abundant fertile land, he invited business leaders, policy makers and investors to invest in Pakistan by availing the incentives offered under the Green Pakistan initiative. This diverse agricultural output, coupled with Pakistan’s strategic geographic location, positions the country as a crucial partner in ensuring food security and enhancing trade with China and other BRI nations, Mr. Sardar maintained.

 

Mr. Sardar Muhammad also toured the Pakistani booths and special pavilion which spanned 72 square meters and featured a diverse range of Pakistani food products, including premium rice, sesame seeds, and packaged foods. The pavilion’s Pakistani Karak tea remained focus of those visiting the expo.

 

On the occasion in his interaction with media Mr. Muhammad while underscoring the importance of the Expo as a platform for enhancing collaboration in food supply chain, he invited viewers to visit the expo and see for themselves the Pakistani product. The Consulate General also facilitated live media streaming of Pakistani product through the use of media centre provided by the organizers of the event.
